Where our hotel now stands, vines once grew. The variety was Lagrein – deep red, full of character, and from South Tyrol. The name has remained. And so has the passion for wine. Perhaps coincidence, perhaps fate – in any case, wine continues to play a special role at the Lagrein. Not loud, not ostentatious. But unmistakably present. In selection, in advice, in the way it is served.
At the Lagrein, wine is more than just a variety. It is a piece of history. And always worth a sip.
Aside from the hotel, wine enjoyment in general plays a central role in our philosophy.
On our wine list, you will find labels we have collected, tasted, and carefully selected over the years. The glass, walk-in wine cube, the cellar, and the knowledge behind it – they are as much a part of the hotel as the view of the mountains. South Tyrol is strongly represented, as is Italy. Additionally, wines from regions close to us – hand-picked, not by chance.
