At the Lagrein, the panorama is ever-present. From the first morning light to the last glow of sunset, the view opens freely over Merano, the Valle dell’Adige and the peaks of the Gruppo di Tessa. Whether from the garden, the terrace, the rooms or the Orangerie – the view opening out to the landscape that surrounds us is omnipresent.

Would you like to take a little garden tour? Come along! Between palm and olive trees, lavender and rosemary bushes, new and quiet retreats reveal themselves again and again. Here a shady spot beneath the birch, there a panoramic view from the “Over the Top” sun terrace, then a few quiet minutes on the sky swing or with a good book beneath the Lagrein arbour.
The circular path leads past the fountain, through the palm garden, to the maple, into the chill zone and on to the olive garden. Every spot here has its own rhythm, its own atmosphere.
A walk through the garden follows no set plan. It is all about disconnecting – accompanied by light and the scents of the Mediterranean.
